A polished finish does not need a heavy coating. Start with a small amount, spread it through your hands and give the ends the attention they need.

Get to know your exact product

Repair Formula is for improving the feel and appearance of dry or processed lengths. A smoother-looking end is not a permanently mended split end.

What it is designed to do

Polish dry or damaged hair with Cortex Beauty Repair Formula Intensive Hair Serum. Keratin and argan oil combine with a silicone-enriched formula to help retain moisture, soften the look of split ends, and give lengths a smoother finish.

Open the box and check the pieces

Match the product name, size or color and model/SKU to your order. Check any supplied accessories against the box or packing list. Do not assume that a stand, case, glove, diffuser, comb or refill shown in another tutorial is included with your version. Keep the receipt and packaging while you inspect the product.

Before the first use

Read the current label for directions, warnings and ingredients. Identify which products rinse out and which stay in. If you have a known ingredient sensitivity, check the actual ingredient panel rather than relying on a range name or a general claim. Keep the packaging so you can match the formula if you contact us.

Your routine, step by step

  1. Check the bottle to confirm whether your formula is intended for damp hair, dry hair or both. Similar-looking serums can have different directions.
  2. Dispense a small amount into your hands and spread it between your palms. Avoid starting with a large pumpful on one section.
  3. Distribute lightly, giving the ends attention and keeping application consistent with the label. Add more only if needed after checking the finish.
  4. If applying before blow-drying, complete the drying step before using a direct-heat tool. Shine and smoothing claims do not establish thermal protection.
  5. Keep the cap closed between uses and store as the label directs. Do not pour a hair serum into a vapor iron or mix it into another bottle.

Amount, timing and frequency

The current directions allow damp or dry application. Start lightly and follow your bottle. No fixed pump count or heat-protection rating is established here.

Heat tools, ingredients and expectations

Smoother, shinier-looking hair is the goal. Repair language does not mean split ends are permanently repaired, and care benefits do not establish protection at a particular styling temperature. Use a product explicitly labeled for heat protection when needed. Sulfate-free, silicone-free, fragrance-free and vegan claims must be checked for this exact formula; none is assumed for the entire Cortex range.

When the result needs a little adjusting

My hair feels coated or heavy.

Use less leave-in or serum next time and rinse rinse-out products thoroughly. Keep the application area matched to the label, and avoid layering every product in a set just because it is included.

My hair still feels dry.

Check that you used the correct rinse-out step and gave it the label-directed time. Adjust the routine gradually rather than leaving a product on longer than directed.

Can I leave it on overnight?

Only if this exact label directs overnight use. A rinse-out mask or conditioner should not be converted into a leave-in treatment.

Can I use it after a salon service?

Check with the professional who performed the service and follow the specific aftercare restrictions. A broad color-care or keratin claim does not confirm compatibility with every treatment.

Keep it ready for next time

Repair Formula | Intensive Care Hair Serum, care and storage

Keep each container closed and follow its storage and after-opening guidance. Keep water and dirty fingers out of jars, and leave formulas in their original labeled containers. Do not mix batches or dilute products to stretch them. Keep products out of reach of children and away from heat or direct sunlight as the label directs. If the product has an unexpected change in smell, texture or appearance, stop and ask us before using it again.

A few questions before your next use

Match your product by the SKU or model on its label, not just its color. If a tutorial shows different controls, attachments or packaging, pause and check that it is the right version. Your order confirmation helps identify a bundle, but each component still has its own instructions.

Need a hand?

If a product causes irritation, stop using it and follow the label’s instructions. For a formula or directions question, email helpdesk@cortexbeauty.com with the exact product name, size, batch/lot details and photos of the ingredient and directions panels. Similar names and bottle colors are not enough to identify a formula.
