Softness that stays with your style starts with a light hand. Distribute the leave-in evenly rather than adding a heavy layer in one place.

Get to know your exact product

The Keratin range includes both rinse-out care and a leave-in conditioner. Read the full product name before applying it so the leave-in stays in and the rinse-out products are rinsed away.

What it is designed to do

Keep hair soft and manageable after washing with Cortex Beauty Keratin Leave-In Conditioner. Its lightweight blend of glycerin, keratin and argan oil helps hydrate strands and smooth visible frizz. The leave-in format adds conditioning and shine without a heavy feel.

Open the box and check the pieces

Match the product name, size or color and model/SKU to your order. Check any supplied accessories against the box or packing list. Do not assume that a stand, case, glove, diffuser, comb or refill shown in another tutorial is included with your version. Keep the receipt and packaging while you inspect the product.

Before the first use

Read the current label for directions, warnings and ingredients. Identify which products rinse out and which stay in. If you have a known ingredient sensitivity, check the actual ingredient panel rather than relying on a range name or a general claim. Keep the packaging so you can match the formula if you contact us.

Your routine, step by step

  1. Start with damp hair and read the label’s amount and application instructions.
  2. Spread a small amount between your hands and apply through the mid-lengths and ends. Work in sections for even coverage.
  3. Distribute gently with your fingers or a suitable comb. Add only a little more if an area needs it.
  4. Leave the product in; this is not the rinse-out conditioner. Style as directed for the hair tools you plan to use.
  5. Check whether the label explicitly claims heat protection. If it does not, use a suitable separate heat protectant before thermal styling and let hair dry fully before direct heat.

Amount, timing and frequency

The product directions specify a small amount on damp mid-lengths and ends, combing through, and no rinsing. Follow the directions on the bottle you received if they differ.

Heat tools, ingredients and expectations

Smoother, shinier-looking hair is the goal. Repair language does not mean split ends are permanently repaired, and care benefits do not establish protection at a particular styling temperature. Use a product explicitly labeled for heat protection when needed. Sulfate-free, silicone-free, fragrance-free and vegan claims must be checked for this exact formula; none is assumed for the entire Cortex range.

When the result needs a little adjusting

My hair feels coated or heavy.

Use less leave-in or serum next time and rinse rinse-out products thoroughly. Keep the application area matched to the label, and avoid layering every product in a set just because it is included.

My hair still feels dry.

Check that you used the correct rinse-out step and gave it the label-directed time. Adjust the routine gradually rather than leaving a product on longer than directed.

Can I leave it on overnight?

Only if this exact label directs overnight use. A rinse-out mask or conditioner should not be converted into a leave-in treatment.

Can I use it after a salon service?

Check with the professional who performed the service and follow the specific aftercare restrictions. A broad color-care or keratin claim does not confirm compatibility with every treatment.

Keep it ready for next time

Keratin Leave-In Conditioner for Dry & Damaged Hair, care and storage

Keep each container closed and follow its storage and after-opening guidance. Keep water and dirty fingers out of jars, and leave formulas in their original labeled containers. Do not mix batches or dilute products to stretch them. Keep products out of reach of children and away from heat or direct sunlight as the label directs. If the product has an unexpected change in smell, texture or appearance, stop and ask us before using it again.

A few questions before your next use

Match your product by the SKU or model on its label, not just its color. If a tutorial shows different controls, attachments or packaging, pause and check that it is the right version. Your order confirmation helps identify a bundle, but each component still has its own instructions.

Need a hand?

If a product causes irritation, stop using it and follow the label’s instructions. For a formula or directions question, email helpdesk@cortexbeauty.com with the exact product name, size, batch/lot details and photos of the ingredient and directions panels. Similar names and bottle colors are not enough to identify a formula.
